What can you use the app for?

Dooster offers an online task and calendar management service that helps users accomplish their goals. The user can add a task within seconds and assign a priority level and date to it. All task information can be edited at any time so the user’s task list stays updated and flexible. Tasks and notes can also be added by email without logging into Dooster. People can be added and assigned tasks so the user can collaborate with others or work as a team. A task history is maintained so the user can review accomplishments. Built in milestones provide the user with progress meters while mind maps allow the user to obtain a visualization that shows the main goal and each separate step involved in getting there. screenshot

What is the history and popularity of the app?

Dooster was created to give users an easier way to manage their tasks and accomplish goals. The application offers a number of conveniences, however users have noted some areas that could use improvement. Some Chrome users have noted in the past that the browser indicated insecurities when using Dooster (this linked to some of the tools found on the page because the site itself uses 256 bit encryption). However, this issue seems to be solved at the moment. The creators of Dooster are constantly adding new features, and listen to their users to make sure they get what they need.

What are the differences to other apps?

Dooster’s feature list contains many tools that are very common with this type of application. Users can store files, add people and tasks and assign tasks to individuals. What makes Dooster a little more unique is the inclusion of mind maps. These are essentially line charts that allow the user to start with a main task and branch out from there. The mind map is simple in appearance, but has plenty of utility and can be applied to any kind of project.

Users who prefer to go the traditional route can provide their first and last name, email address, a username, password, Dooster URL, time zone and preferred date format in the fields provided. After submitting the form, the user can begin creating their first Dooster project.

The 4 to 15 projects plan includes unlimited users and 4 GBs of storage space for $3.97 per month. The 16 to 50 projects plan costs $19.97 per month and upgrades to include 9 GBs of storage space.
